(LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers face Rutgers this Saturday afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium.
Badgers coach Luke Fickell said that in getting ready for Rutgers, the first thing the team had to do was put last week’s tough loss to Iowa behind them.
Fickell said that they have to find a way to have the momentum in their favor and didn’t against Iowa.
With that said, it’s time to move forward, according to Fickell.
Fickell said right now they really lack an offensive identity.
Fickell said that after last week’s loss, this is when you see what your team is made of.
Fickell said that college football is becoming the NFL in terms of a week-to-week product.
Right now Fickell said that he needs leaders in the locker room to step up.
The coach said that he doesn’t put a lot of stock into things that are said by his players in the post-game, heat of the moment.
Rutgers comes into the game 1-4 in the Big Ten and 2-6 overall.
The Badgers are 3-2 in the Big Ten and 5-3 overall.
