(GREEN BAY ROCKERS) MADISON – The Green Bay Rockers closed out their 2026 campaign with a loss to the Madison Mallards, 4-3, in a contest dominated by pitching.
It was a sold-out crowd and a quick first few innings from Warner Park in Madison, Wisconsin, as nobody scored in the first two and a half innings. The scoreless tie was broken in the 3rd, as Jack Bello Jr. (Minnesota) drove in two with a single to shallow left field.
The Rockers responded with runs of their own in the 4th, as an error off the bat of Daniel Harden (Houston) and a two-run home run from Brayden Pleau (Grand Valley State) gave Green Bay the lead. Skyler Sievert (UW-Whitewater) shut down the Mallards order until the 6th, when the Mallards mashed two home runs to retake the lead at 4-3.
Logan Sarna and Mason Buss shut down the rest of Green Bay’s order to close out the game for Madison, as they now head to the Northwoods League playoffs, which begin tomorrow evening.
Some highlights from the Rockers’ 2026 campaign included the second most home runs in the league with 73, and top 10 in runs, RBIs, and batting average, and top 5 in walks.
The Rockers will commence their 21st season of baseball in Green Bay in May of 2027.
