(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored 4 runs in the sixth inning and withstood a 3-run rally in the ninth by Miami to defeat the Marlins 8-6 at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday.
Jackson Chourio and Garrett Mitchell each had a 2-run double during the 4-run rally.
Mitchell finished the game with 3 hits while recently-acquired Braden Shewmake had 2.
Shane Drohan pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9 to get the win. He improved to 5-3.
Trevor Megill relieved Craig Yoho in the ninth inning to earn his 15th save.
Calvin Faucher took the loss for Miami to fall to 4-5.
The Brewers played the game without Sal Frelick (shoulder) and Brice Turang (foot).
The Brewers and Marlins will wrap up the series this afternoon at American Family Field.
Robert Gasser who is 2-4 with a 5.24 ERA will start for Milwaukee.
Eury Perez who is 5-7 with a 3.78 ERA will start for Miami.

Woodruff out for season: Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff said that he will undergo surgery on his right shoulder to correct the injury that has ended his season. It’s the same injury that he had surgery for previously.
