OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A five-story mixed-use development is the latest addition to the Oshkosh riverfront.
The Mill on Main hosted a grand opening celebration Thursday evening. Located at 740 S. Main Street, the complex is in the heart of the Sawdust District on the Fox River. Officials say the goal was to turn a long-underutilized space into a vibrant residential and commercial destination.
“The city had the vision of taking a former industrial and blighted zone and clearing it and then turning it into something really special,” said Terrence Wall, president of property management company T. Wall Enterprises. “They ended up selecting us out of seven different proposals. We’re pleased to say here we are, three years later. We’re open and it’s a huge success and we’re super excited, and it’s all because of the vision of the city of Oshkosh.”
The Mill on Main features 115 apartments. Studios and one, two and three-bedroom units are available. Amenities include:
- Private clubhouse and on-site leasing team
- Resort-style pool, hot tub, cabana seating and fire pits
- Grilling and outdoor gathering areas
- Fitness center, yoga studio and sauna
- Golf simulator and club/game room
- Dog run and dog wash station
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- Walkable access to retail, dining and entertainment
- Programming for residents
Cost ranges from $1,299 a month for a studio unit to $2,749 for a three-bedroom apartment.
Additionally, the building boasts commercial and retail space along South Main Street designed to attract businesses such as cafés/coffee shops, boutiques, salons and wellness providers. A dedicated waterfront commercial space will be occupied by a new tavern-style restaurant.
