While most of us have spent way too many dollars trying to win a stuffed animal that costs fifty cents to make, a two-year-old named Cooper King decided to cut out the middleman and just become the prize!
It happened on a Saturday night at the Vetta Sports Soccerdome in Webster Groves, Missori. Cooper’s family was just trying to watch his older brother’s soccer game when the chaos unfolded. According to his mom, Megan, she looked away for 15 seconds, which is apparently all the time a toddler needs to pull off a heist, before she heard someone shout his name and point at the claw machine. There he was, chilling inside the glass box like the rarest plushie in the world.
Cooper was stuck in there for about 20 minutes and mom says he didn’t even seem fazed by the situation. The police and fire department showed up to help, but in the end, it was a service technician with a key who finally liberated the little guy. He walked away totally fine, though his parents probably won’t be letting him near a joystick anytime soon!
