(METRO) MINNEAPOLIS – Jorge Polanco’s slow infield roller plated the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Twins outlasted the Brewers 4-3 in Minnesota.
Twins starter Kenta Maeda took a no-hitter into the ninth inning only to see Milwaukee score three times to tie it and force extras.
Eric Sogard’s soft liner broke up the bid leading off the ninth.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell spoke about his team’s inability to score in extra innings.
Jorge Alcala got the win, while David Phelps took the loss.
