OCONTO FALLS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A doctor from Oconto County has been arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation.
Oconto Falls police say they received an online tip Tuesday regarding child sexual abuse material uploaded to Facebook from an address in the city.
Officers say they believed there was an imminent safety risk to a very young child, so they obtained a search warrant and arrested a 65-year-old man.
Police did not name the suspect, but the jail roster lists a man whose name matches that of a family medicine doctor. Recommended charges are first-degree sexual assault of a child, possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child.
Formal charges have not been filed.
