TOWN OF PLYMOUTH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person died and two others were injured in a Sheboygan County crash Friday afternoon.
Shortly after 3:45 p.m., a 911 caller reported a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 23 at Pleasant View Road in the town of Plymouth.
One of the vehicles involved in the collision was traveling east on STH 23. The only occupant in that vehicle was a 45-year-old Sheboygan man. The other vehicle — driven by an 82-year-old woman, with an 80-year-old male passenger, both from Sheboygan — was traveling westbound.
Preliminary investigation indicates the westbound vehicle was attempting to turn south on Pleasant View Road from STH 23, but failed to yield to oncoming traffic while negotiating the turn.
The 45-year-old man in the eastbound vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance.
The 82-year-old woman suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The 80-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to a hospital, where the man later died.
