(WNFL/LEARFIELD BADGERS SPORTS NETWORK) MADISON – Despite a slow state which saw them fall behind 18-7, the Wisconsin Badgers came back to defeat Appalachian State 87-56 at the Kohl Center on Sunday.
Key to the game was the Badgers going on a 24-0 run after falling behind by 11 points.
Badgers coach Greg Gard said that defense kick-started the comeback.
Gard talked more on his team turning on the defense.

Things get a wee bit tougher for Wisconsin this week. They will host tenth-ranked Arizona next with Wisconsin players from the final final four teams on hand, along with former coach and Basketball Hall of Famer Bo Ryan.
Those 2 teams will face off Friday at 8.
