MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in Wisconsin is down — but so is the number of tests completed.
The state Department of Health Services reports 174 confirmed cases on Monday. There were also 6,801 negative tests. The 6.8% positive rate is the highest since Friday.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 403,447 negative tests and 22,932 positive tests.
Two more people have died since Sunday. The death toll in the state is now at 694.
DHS believes 16,837 people have recovered from COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
