GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A traveling, interactive science exhibit produced by NASA and Boeing is calling a Green Bay museum home for the next three months.
Above and Beyond will open at the Neville Public Museum Saturday.
The 3,000-square-foot exhibition offers an unprecedented interactive demonstration of advances in aviation and aerospace, from the first powered flights to the newest innovations on Earth and in space.
Visitors can experience flight simulation, touch-table displays, and even get a sense of what it’s like to fly like a bird in a flock.
Green Bay is the exhibit’s first stop in all of the upper Midwest.
Museum executive director, Beth Kowalski, says it’s a family-friendly, interactive way to learn about the past and present of aeronautics and aerospace.
“My personal favorite is a flight interactive where you actually get a chance to pretend you’re a bird and you actually have to fly in a flock and the interactive senses all of your movements, so again, teaches you how birds will fly in a formation and actually take flight,” Kowalski said.
Above and Beyond will be at the Neville Public Museum from Feb. 4 through May 7, 2023.
