BUCHANAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A pig sanctuary will be allowed to continue operations, after ordinance violations issued by the town were dismissed Monday.
Saving Snouts, operated by TJ and Gerald Dercks, ran into trouble with Buchanan after code exemption expired and was not renewed. Four citations for improperly housing farm animals were issued in 2021.
According to court records, the parties made arguments Monday before Judge Mark McGinnis, who granted “motion for summary judgment in all four cases Court dismisses cases.”
In a social media post, TJ Dercks said “We are almost speechless. The Judge has ruled in our favor and we can continue on with Saving Snouts.”
FOX 11’s message to Buchanan was not immediately returned.
