(METRO/LEARFIELD) – The Brewers scored 10 runs in the eight inning to top the Cubs 14-4 in Milwaukee.
The two were tied in the eight at four before the Crew’s offense couldn’t be stopped. Avisail Garcia, Willy Adames, and Keston Hiura went deep.
Jackie Bradley Jr. who has struggled mightily this season drove in the first run of the eighth inning to break the tie.
Bradley said the eighth inning was fun to be part of.
Hiura had a four-RBI night while Adames and Garcia had three each.
Luis Urias and Jace Peterson also plated runs.
Brewers shortstop Willy Adames said that what may have sparked the eighth inning rally was getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the top half of the eighth.
Devin Williams earned the win after tossing one scoreless relief inning.
The series continues tonight.
