CHILTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Dozens of Wisconsin communities joined a nationwide round of “No Kings” protests Saturday, including a gathering in Chilton that organizers said drew about 20 to 25 people. The demonstrations were framed as a day of action encouraging early voting ahead of the November third election.
Wisconsin voters can return absentee ballots by 8 p.m. on Election Day. In-person absentee voting may begin as early as October 20th, depending on the municipality, and continue through November first.
Chilton protester Gary Lemke says organizers hope to hold more gatherings in the future. Other Wisconsin communities hosting protests included Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc and Marinette.
