WINNECONNE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Three people were found dead inside a home in the Village of Winneconne.
On Friday, July 31, just before 7 p.m. the Winneconne Police Department, the City of Omro Police Department, and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence on the 500-block of Division Street in Winneconne for a medical incident and welfare check.
Once authorities arrived, they found three people dead inside the home.
Based on evidence at the scene, officials determined there is no danger or threat to the public and that it is an isolated incident.
Due to the circumstances of the incident, the Village of Winneconne Police Department requested that the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office become the primary investigating agency.
This remains an active investigation.
