NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person is dead following a fire at a New London apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
The New London Police Department says it was dispatched to 505 Division Street for smoke at approximately 2:37 p.m.
One Franklin Park Apartments occupant was found dead at the scene.
Some residents have been displaced and will be relocated with help from the Red Cross.
A temporary Red Cross reception center has been set up at the Washington Center at 600 West Washington Street.
The complex is operated by the New London Housing Authority.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
