MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Corven Jones was convicted Monday for his role in a Virginia-to-Wisconsin drug ring. Sentencing is Sept. 25.
Jones pleaded no contest to one count of conspiracy to delivery amphetamine. Prosecutors will recommend a five-year prison term, court records show.
Jones was charged in December after a traffic stop in which investigators found more than 24 pounds of meth. He was charged along with Karonn Hamilton and Andre Allen. However, the cases for Hamilton and Allen, along with another suspect — Anhaur Garcia-Tarabay — are now being prosecuted in federal court.
Hamilton will be sentenced Aug. 18. Allen will be sentenced Aug. 25. Garcia-Tarabay has a hearing Sept. 9.
