LEDGEVIEW, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Sen. Tammy Baldwin met with local election officials in Ledgeview on Monday for a midterm roundtable focused on Election Day preparations across the Greater Green Bay area.
Baldwin thanked officials for the behind-the-scenes work involved in making sure ballots are counted and stressed the importance of a fair and transparent election process.
Election officials at the meeting said preparations ahead of Election Day are going as planned.
“I like to run a very safe and a very procedural. So I want to make sure everything is done the exact same way. Everything is kept very secure and everything is very honest and truthful,” said Ledgeview Clerk Naomi Miller. “And it works well. It works really well and we’ve not had any problems here.”
Baldwin also promoted several election-related bills she is seeking to pass, saying the proposals would help protect Wisconsin voters’ access to the ballot box.
