A viral social media clip has prompted a stern warning from Wisconsin public health officials after a video surfaced showing someone getting tattooed right next to gas pumps.
Posted by Green Bay shop Ink Shrink Tattoo, the video captures a full tattooing session setup taking place under the bright lights of a local gas station. While the stunt quickly caught fire online, it also caught the attention of Brown County Public Health. Health officials stepped in to clarify that regardless of whether the clip was a legitimate session or a publicity stunt, state law and county ordinances strictly prohibit performing body art anywhere outside of a regulated, licensed facility. Authorities reminded the public that unlicensed tattooing poses severe health risks, including bloodborne infections and disease transmission, and urged consumers to seek out credentialed artists operating in sanitary environments.
