A Staten Island man is recovering after he was struck in his foot by lightning while walking in front of his house!
The shocking moment was captured in full by his house’s Ring doorbell camera. He was stepping out of his front door on his way to a routine dentist appointment when the electric bolt struck the ground next to him, sending a massive jolt directly through his foot. Describing the sensation, the victim noted feeling a surge of unprecedented tingling, intense numbness, and immediate pain radiating through his leg.
He was rushed to the hospital and spent the night under medical observation. Miraculously, doctors confirmed he suffered no severe burns or lasting structural injuries from the strike.
He now says he’s testing his luck buying a Mega Millions lottery ticket a few days after being struck.
