(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers’ magic number to make the playoffs is down to 25 as they start a home series against the Seattle Mariners.
Taking three out of four from the Los Angeles Dodgers last weekend is a huge step toward keeping the home park advantage all the way.
Milwaukee won the season series four games to three so if they tie Los Angeles in the won-loss record they still have the advantage.
Atlanta leads the Brewers two games to one, but the teams play a three-game series next week.
In the current MLB standings, the Brewers are 77-48, the Dodgers are 75-51 and the Braves are 74-51.
The Brewers have a 4 1/2 game lead in the National League Central Division over the Chicago Cubs who are 73-53.
Kyle Harrison is the scheduled starter for tonight’s game against the Mariners. Harrison is 9-3 with 2.44 ERA.
Seattle will send Bryce Miller to the mound. Miller is 4-6 with a 3.39 ERA.
Seattle is 59-66 and in third place in the American League West, 4 games behind first-place Houston and 2 games out of the third wild card spot.
Tonight’s game can be heard beginning with the pre-game show at 6:05 on 97.5 and 1360 WTAQ.
