It turns out the classic stereotype is alive and well in Northeast Wisconsin! De Pere Fire Rescue proved that firefighters really do save cats from trees, taking to social media to share photos of a high-reaching weekend rescue.
When crews received a call about a vibrant orange cat stranded high above the ground, they deployed the bucket of their platform truck to navigate the branches. Firefighters successfully reached the feline and brought it back down to safety.
While the department hasn’t confirmed if the cat suffered any injuries or if it has been reunited with its owner yet, the crew handled the entire operation with smiles, good humor, and plenty of heart.
