Howard garage fire injures two, causes $350k in damages on July 4, 2026. PC: Fox 11 Online
BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two residents are hospitalized following a garage fire Saturday night in Howard.
Howard Fire Rescue and assisting departments were dispatched to 3428 Chatsworth Drive around 9:30 p.m. for reports of an attached garage on fire.
Fire crews arrived on scene to find smoke and flames coming from the attached garage of the residence. Responders used the deck gun on the attached garage to take control of the fire, then remained on scene for an additional two hours to extinguish all remaining hotspots.
Two residents on scene were transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
Damages in property loss and contents are estimated at $350,000.
The cause and origin of the fire is currently under investigation by the Brown County Fire Investigation Task Force.
Assisting departments include Packerland Fire District (Pulaski Tri-County Fire and Suamico Fire) County Rescue, Green Bay Metro Fire, Ashwaubenon Fire, Hobart Fire, Brown County Sherriff’s Department, Brown County Communications Center, and MABAS 112 partners.
