GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Neville Public Museum has a new interim director.
Mike Reed will lead the museum, Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach announced Friday. Reed previously worked for the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary for 34 years, becoming its director in 2011, before retiring in 2019. Reed also has experience at the Field Museum in Chicago.
The Neville has been without a director since September.
The move comes as a county task force has been formed to discuss a possible partnership between the Neville and the Children’s Museum of Green Bay.
“Mike’s leadership has been a tremendous benefit to our community for many years,” Streckenbach said in a news release. “While the Museum Task Force reviews potential collaborative opportunities and feasibility within 90 days, Mike will provide executive leadership and guidance on a day-to-day basis for the staff during this interim period.”
Reed begins at the Neville June 29.
