A city in California celebrated Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday in the most glamorous way possible, gathering a staggering 1,037 impersonators to shatter a Guinness World Record!
The massive crowd assembled in Downtown Palm Springs, with participants donning the Hollywood star’s iconic white halter dress from the 1955 cinematic classic The Seven Year Itch.
The army of lookalikes completely decimated the previous world record of 254 Marilyns, which was established by the Marilyn Jetty Swim Team in Australia back in 2020.
The event also doubled as a major community fundraiser for Palm Springs Pride, successfully generating enough funding to ensure the city’s upcoming Pride Festival remains entirely free for all attendees.
