Brent Hofman (Shawano Co. Jail)
SHAWANO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 75-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man in Shawano County last November pleaded not guilty on Thursday.
Brent Hofman is charged with first degree intentional homicide in the death of 67-year-old Rick Roundy.
Court documents show the two men knew each other for years from hunting together.
Hofman is accused of killing Roundy in a Germania garage after a night of drinking, according to a criminal complaint.
He is also charged with attempted homicide, accused of killing a friend of Roundy. Hofman also pleaded not guilty to that count.
Hoffman is due back in court July 8th for a status conference, which is expected to determine how long a trial should be schedule for or if the two sides have reached a potential resolution in the case.
