The Village of Allouez is moving into recovery mode after heavy rainfall on April 14, 2026, overwhelmed the sanitary sewer system, causing back-ups and flooding in local basements. To help residents dispose of water-damaged items, officials have scheduled a special bulk pick-up for the most impacted areas.
The pick-up is specifically for homes located north of Highway 172, east of Libal Street, and south of St. Joseph Street. If you live in this zone and have ruined furniture or flooring, you have until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, to get your items to the curb.
What Can You Toss?
Because this is a specialized flood-relief pick-up, there are strict rules on what crews will take.
| YES (Acceptable Items) | NO (Not Allowed) |
| Mattresses & Box Springs | Appliances (Fridges, Stoves, etc.) |
| Furniture (Couches, Chairs, Tables) | Electronics (TVs, Computers) |
| Water-Damaged Carpet | Gas-Powered Equipment (Mowers) |
| Sinks, Toilets, & Tubs | Tires & Car Batteries |
| Windows & Doors | Cardboard |
| Wood & Lumber | Construction Debris from Remodeling |
| Exercise Equipment & Grills |
