The Olympic Games are officially headed back to Los Angeles, with the LA28 Olympics running July 14-30, 2028, and the Paralympics following August 15–27, 2028.
And if you’re already daydreaming about seeing Team USA in person (or just want to say “I was there” when the Olympics are basically in Hollywood’s backyard), the first big step is coming up fast: LA28 is using a “Ticket Draw” system, think ticket lottery, but with a twist.
What is the LA28 “Ticket Draw”?
The Ticket Draw isn’t the actual ticket purchase. It’s the step that gets you a chance at a buying time slot.
Here’s the simple version:

When can you register?
Registration for the LA28 Ticket Draw opens January 14, 2026.
Reportedly, the initial registration window runs through March 18, 2026.
LA28 has also said Olympic tickets go on sale in 2026, with Paralympic tickets coming in 2027.
How to get in (step-by-step)

On January 14, 2026, go to the official LA28 tickets page and create your profile + register for the Ticket Draw.

Watch your email: you’ll find out if you’re assigned a purchase time slot for an upcoming ticket drop.

When your time slot opens, jump in and buy the tickets you want (events, sessions, price levels, etc.).
Important: registering is free, and there’s reportedly no advantage to registering early as long as you register within the window.
How much will tickets cost?
LA28 has said single-event tickets start at $28, and organizers have talked about a big chunk of inventory staying in more “normal human” price ranges (including large volume at $28 and many under $100).
Who gets early access?
LA28 has said that people who live in the greater Los Angeles region (and Oklahoma City, which is hosting some events) may have a shot at a special early-access window… so locals could get the first crack before broader public ticket drops.
