OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A section of Interstate 41 will be reopening Saturday. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced Friday the northbound I-41 on and off-ramps at Ballard Road will open early in the day.
While the ramp will be reopening, the bridge over I-41 will remain closed through late fall.
In addition, Capitol Drive between Ballard Road and Commerce Court will close after the northbound ramps open to traffic on Saturday. Access to Commerce Court will be maintained from eastbound Capitol Drive.
The work is part of the overall I-41 major project that will reconstruct and expand 23 miles of I-41 from four lanes to six lanes between Appleton and De Pere.
Other travel impacts
Capitol Dr. will CLOSE at Commerce Ct. beginning Friday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 29 at 4 a.m.
- Access to Commerce Ct. will be maintained via a single lane.
Capitol Dr. between Commerce Ct. and Juanita Ln. will CLOSE to traffic later this fall.
- Access to Commerce Ct. will be maintained from westbound Capitol Dr.
