If you grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard, this one’s for you. Over the weekend at the Somernites Cruise festival in Somerset, Kentucky, stunt driver Raymond Kohn pulled off a crazy jump in a replica of the General Lee—and it was just as wild as it sounds.
He launched the bright orange 1969 Dodge Charger 150 feet through the air, right over Fountain Square and a giant turquoise fountain. When the car finally came down, it hit hard—bouncing, losing a door and a bumper, and coming way too close to a nearby cameraman. Luckily, no one got hurt.
Kohn said he’d been prepping for months. This was actually his 30th jump in a General Lee, though he’s flown even farther before—his personal best is 217 feet.
To top it all off, fans even got to meet John Schneider (aka Bo Duke) at the event. Between the car, the jump, and a real-life Duke in attendance, it was pure nostalgia with a whole lot of horsepower.
