Corey’s Feel Good Stories – Tues. 9/26: Dog Mayor Celebrates A Year In Office / Iowa Cancer Survivor Chooses Best Man

1.  “The Guardian” newspaper did a big profile on a golden retriever named Max, who just finished up his first year as the MAYOR of Idyllwild, California.  They have a long history of electing dogs.

His owner . . . who’s also his chief of staff . . . dresses him up for work.  She says he owns 1,000 neckties, and ate three of them during his first month in office.  (Here’s a photo.)

2.  “10 years ago, Iowa man Ben Clark was battling a rare form of blood cancer.

Thank to Jan Rolfes, who lives thousands of miles away in Sweden, Clark was able to find a match for stem cell treatment.

Recently, Clark got married and asked Rolfes—the man who saved his life—to be his best man. The two met for the first time just one day before the wedding.”
