Bucks heat up out west

The Milwaukee Bucks opened a four game trip out west with a dominating 137-108 victory over the Trailblazers in Portland on Saturday night.  Bobby Portis poured in 30 points in the victory.  On Sunday night, Milwaukee matched the offensive output with a 137-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.   Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge with 28 points.  Jrue Holiday put up 27, Bobby Portis added another strong game with 24.  Pat Connaughton had 18 on 6 of 9 shooting from beyond the three point line and Khris Middleton finished with 17.  It was the first game in NBA history where all five starters scored in double figures with at least two assists and two made three point shots each in a single game.    The Bucks also got a contribution from new big man Greg Monroe.  In his second tour with the Bucks on a 10 day contract, Monroe scored 15 points with 10 rebounds in the two victories.   Milwaukee has climbed to third place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference race and they are just a half game out of first.   The road trip continues as the Bucks will play at the Staples Center again on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers before wrapping it up with a Finals rematch against the Suns in Phoenix on Thursday night.
