This story starts out extremely sad but ends happy. Tony Mutabazi’s had a tough childhood. After birth, he was put in an adoption program and by 4 he was adopted…only to be left at a Charlotte, North Carolina hospital when he was 11.
A few days later, Peter Mutabazi got the call from a foster care worker explaining Tony’s story. Peter was a foster parent for three years already and being moved to tears after hearing the story – had to take action.
Peter had a room and the resources so he immediately took Tony into his life.
“He’s the nicest, smartest kid I’ve ever had,” Peter said.
Peter had a similar story of foster care growing up as he ran away from an abusive home at age 10 and foster care helped place him with a family decades ago.
This story went viral earlier this year and Peter and Tony share an Instagram account @fosterdadflipper to document their adventures together…and already have over 72,000 followers!
