WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday voted to exempt certain small public companies from outside auditor reviews of internal controls.
The SEC says the rule would apply to firms with less than $100 million in revenues and have been public for more than five years.
