I am not above shaming someone in this instance. A UPS driver REFUSES to move out of the way of an ambulance that is behind him with lights and sirens blasting. When an emergency vehicle has lights and sirens going… GET OUT OF THE WAY!
The UPS driver just continues to sit in the middle of the road and block the access of the ambulance to get past it in the video. The ambulance, with a patient in the back, was trying to get to a nearby hospital. It took over 30 seconds for the UPS truck to move up enough that the ambulance could get by. After the ambulance drove away, the driver got out of his truck to make his delivery. The person recording asked the driver why he wouldn’t move, and all the driver did was say “if you post the video online you’ll be getting a lawsuit.”
Clearly, the person who took the video didn’t seem to worried about a lawsuit though as the video is posted for all to see.
UPS says they are aware of the situation and plan to handle it in house.
