Send a Shoutout to Your Sweetie!
On Valentines Day, WIXX Is making it SUPER easy for you to send a special audio message to your sweetheart ON-AIR for everyone to hear thanks to Bay Area Diamond Company!
Just record your “Sweetie Shoutout” using the “Open Mic” feature located at the bottom of the WIXX app.
Here’s how to do it:
- Download the FREE WIXX App onto your smartphone or tablet.
- Tap the “Open Mic” icon located on the bottom of the App’s homepage.
- “Sign In” if you wish to promote your name, etc. If not, you can send anonymously.
- Record a :30 or less message to your special sweetie. (See sample script below)
- Tips to make it sound good:
- Speak into the microphone built into your phone (usually at the base of the phone).
- Move your mouth approx. 6 inches away from the base of your phone for the best sound when recording.
- If you screw up, don’t worry, just repeat the process (We won’t air any “screw-ups” we promise!).

- If you choose, feel free to leave us a comment about the shoutout (up to 255 characters) – you’ll be prompted for this after you finish your recording.
- Listen back all day on Valentines Day (Tues. 2/14) to 101 WIXX to hear yours!
SAMPLE SCRIPT:
“Hi this is (YOUR NAME) from (YOUR TOWN) and I wanna wish my sweetie (NAME OF YOUR SWEETHEART) a Happy Valentines Day. Me and the kids love you SO much!” (Or similar quick special message.)
