ALGOMA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Algoma is one of 10 U.S. cities that have won the National Civic League’s “All-American City” award.
The award recognizes communities that engage in practices that bring community members together to help solve the country’s most pressing and complex issues, according to the league.
Finalists were asked to submit a presentation on their projects this week. Algoma, which presented Wednesday, highlighted the Wolf Tech student-run business, the community wellness center and the wolf den mentoring program.
Algoma is the smallest city to win the award.
