Now that Christmas is officially in the rearview mirror, it’s time to start thinking about taking down the decorations — including the tree. If you’re in Brown County, several communities offer curbside Christmas tree pickup to make cleanup easier.
Here’s what residents around the Green Bay area need to know before hauling their tree to the curb:
Allouez
Christmas trees will be collected during brush week from January 19 through January 22. Trees should be placed on the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular garbage day.
Bellevue
Tree pickup happens on Mondays throughout January. Make sure all lights, ornaments, and wires are removed before placing the tree on the curb.
De Pere
Christmas trees are collected during the first two weeks of January. Trees should be placed at the curb with all decorations removed. Trees should not be bagged.
Green Bay
Curbside Christmas tree pickup throughout January. Trees must be placed at the curb with no lights or ornaments attached.
Flocked trees are not accepted and must be taken to the Brown County Waste Transfer Station for disposal.
Howard
The village offers curbside Christmas tree pickup in the first two weeks in January. Place at the curb by 6:00 AM Tuesday Mornings.
Lawrence
No curbside pickup. Drop them off at Town Yard Waste Drop-off Facility behind the fire station at 2595 French Road.
Suamico
Toss your Christmas tree at the yard waste site at 2310 Elmwood Road.
