GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay police are seeking witnesses to a west side hit-and-run that injured a man and landed another in jail.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Fisk Street around 4 p.m. for a report of a black SUV that crashed into several garages and drove away.
On scene, officers located a 20-year-old Green Bay man on a garage floor with significant injuries believed to be a result of being struck by a moving vehicle. They also found a handgun later determined to have been previously reported as stolen.
So far, witnesses described hearing gunshots shortly before the crash, and the initial investigation indicates that an altercation occurred involving the driver, the victim, and another unidentified individual police are seeking to interview, the department says.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old Michigan man, was located just before 6 p.m. at a residence in Oneida and was taken into custody.
