MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — There’s a new way to track the state of Wisconsin’s spending on the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s called the Wisconsin COVID-19 response and recovery investment dashboard. It’s available on the state’s website. Governor Tony Evers told media it’s a move towards transparency.
“This website will allow Wisconsinites to see for themselves how our investments, totaling $1.73 billion so far, are helping your your neighbors and communities,” Evers said Thursday.
The move comes after some politicians, including Wisconsin Congressman Mike Gallagher, raised questions about how the money from the federal CARES act is being spent. “We’ve also invested in more than 12,000 small businesses and provided additional support to
