A bakery in California just took spooky season to the next level with a massive baked creation that’s equal parts art and dough.
One House Bakery in Benicia crafted a 7-foot-tall, 300-pound sculpture of Labubu entirely out of bread. Everything you see—except the wooden internal frame—is actual baked dough!
Named “Le VanVan,” the sculpture borrows its name from “Labubu” and levain (French for sourdough starter). The face uses a special “dead dough” (meaning no leavening agents) so it could hold a sculpted look.

The bakery created it for Benicia’s annual scarecrow contest, making sure it’d bake in pieces to fit their oven and then reassemble for display. They even disconnected the arms and carefully carried it up the stairs to the display spot outside the bakery.
The bakery says kids keep asking if they can eat it. The baker answered: “You probably could, but it wouldn’t taste very good.”
The sculpture will be on display through Halloween.
