(WNFL) – Just like last Saturday night against the Houston Rockets, the Milwaukee Bucks could not hang on to a late lead, falling in overtime to the Dallas Mavericks 136-132 in overtime in Orlando, Fla.
The Mavericks scored the last seven points in regulation to force the overtime period and then scored the first nine points of the overtime period.
Luca Doncic scored 36 points as part of his 17th triple-double, dished out 19 assists and had 14 rebounds in the win for Dallas.
It was his way of celebrating being named a finalist for the NBA’s Most Improve Player award.
Bucks MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo had a strong game before fouling out late in the game with 34 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.
Brook Lopez tied Antetokounmpo for team-scoring honors with 34 points. Khris Middleton added 21 points while Eric Bledsoe added 15.
Dallas’ Kristaps Porzingis fell short just short of 30 points, getting 26 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out.
