(SOURCE METRO) CHICAGO – The Brewers’ pitching combined to throw nine scoreless innings as they clipped the White Sox 1-0 in Chicago.
Adrian Houser threw seven scoreless innings to earn the win for Milwaukee. Josh Hader closed things out for his second save.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell said his team has been getting good pitching.
Eric Sogard drove in the lone run for the Brewers, who snapped a two-game slide. Danny Mendick went 3-for-3 for the White Sox.
Christian Yelich who has been in a woeful slump since the start of the season was given the night off.
Counsell talked about what’s going on with Yelich.
Dallas Keuchel only gave up one run over seven innings and struck out eight, but took the loss for Chicago. The White Sox had a six-game win streak snapped.
