GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Brown County Sherriff’s office is looking for the public’s help in identifying a woman caught on camera allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills at an area business.
On June 11, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance images of the female suspect and appealed to the public for help identifying her.
As of Monday, she still has not been located, investigators said. They are now expanding their search to the Milwaukee region “in hopes we can learn more information.”
The woman is believed to be traveling in a black Kia K5 EX. Anyone with information about the suspect or her vehicle is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
According to authorities, back on June 6, the suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill at the Pet Supplies Plus at 2352 Lineville Rd. She bought a dog toy for $18.97, receiving $81.03 in change.
It is believed she also used counterfeit bills at a neighboring business in Suamico, as well as at the Pet Supplies Plus location at 2605 S. Oneida St. in Ashwaubenon.
Officials say related incidents involving the same suspect have since occurred in Grand Chute, Neenah and Oshkosh.
In the surveillance images captured in Suamico, the woman had long pink hair and was wearing glasses, a leopard print head dressing, denim jacket and pink sweatpants. Her appearance was much the same in security photos taken in Grand Chute.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Justin Raska by email at Justin.Raska@browncountywi.gov or by phone at (920) 448-6184.
