GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The construction of a new boat launch on Green Bay’s northeast side is heading into its final stretch.
The plan to turn the former Eagles Nest Supper Club site on Nicolet Drive into the H.J. DeBaker Eagles Nest Park and Boat Launch has been years in the making.
Last week, Brown County parks showed progress being made with docks and new pavement.
The area will be equipped with four launch lanes along with a kayak launch and about a total of 100 parking stalls and picnic space.
Brown County bought the 4.5-acre site in 2020. There was support and opposition from the beginning. Residents living in the area were concerned with additional traffic.
