ASHWAUBENON – The Green Bay Booyah fell to Fond du Lac at home for the third straight time, 11-4 on Saturday night.
The lone bright spot on the evening came in the seventh inning when Princeton sophomore Nadir Lewis sent a two-run home run over the video board in right field. Lewis, who was playing for the first time since July 9th, finished the day 1-for-3. The only other extra base hit on the night came from Green Bay Preble’s Max Wagner, who doubled in the eighth inning.
On the mound, Jack Mahoney fell to 1-3 on the season after going five innings and giving up three earned runs. The bullpen struggled again on Saturday night, giving up eight runs over three innings. Green Bay fell to 14-17 on the season, tied for the furthest below .500 they’ve been all season.
Tomorrow, the Booyah travel to Fond du Lac to finish the two-game series against the Dock Spiders.
Green Bay is now 4-5 against Fondy this season, with three more games still to play. All three games will be played at Herr-Baker Field.
