ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — It’s an event combining two things Wisconsinites love: beer and baseball.
On June 1, the Green Bay Rockers are hosting their first-ever 1K Beer Run/Walk. It will take place prior to the team’s 1:05 p.m. home game against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks.
Registration is open now and will close April 30. Perks include a Rockers game ticket, t-shirt, cowbell and three 12oz. tap beers or root beers — one for each lap around the track.
Here’s how it works:
Gates will open at 11 a.m. for packet pickup and the race will begin on the field at noon. The run/walk will begin in the left field access ramp and participants will circle the warning track, stopping by the Integrity Decking Terrace in right field to pick up a tap beer or root beer to enjoy during each lap around. The third pass by the Integrity Decking Terrace and beverage collection will conclude the race.
Participants will receive a reserved box seat to enjoy the Rockers game following the run/walk.
Pricing is as follows:
- Pricing through March 31: Adult 21 Plus-$30 | Under 21 or root beer drinkers-$25
