In Corpus Christi, Texas, a pot-bellied pig turned a quiet Labor Day into a full-on pig chase! The little porker had been on the run since Sunday, dodging Animal Control officers and causing quite a stir in the neighborhood.
On Monday, residents Marissa and Jordan Fowler spotted the pig and used some chicken feed to keep her around long enough for Animal Control to arrive. But the pig had other plans, bolting as soon as officers tried to catch her.
A group of locals, including Quinton Hall and his younger brother, jumped in to help. After a chase that zig-zagged through traffic, Animal Control Officer Araceli Salais finally scooped up the overheated pig, giving her a cool ride back in the air-conditioned truck.
The pig is now resting safely at the Sheriff’s annex, waiting for her owner to claim her or to be rehomed if no one shows up.
