NORTH FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police in North Fond du Lac are investigating a “strong armed robbery” that left a man with serious injuries.
Around 8:05 p.m. Monday, the Fond du Lac County Dispatch Center received a report of a male who “had been beat up and robbed” near the intersection of Polk Street and Audrey Court in the Village of North Fond du Lac.
Officers and EMS responded to the scene. The victim, a Waukesha resident, told police he knew his attackers, as they are also from Waukesha.
Initial information indicates that the victim contacted the suspects, asking them to come to North Fond du Lac. The suspects picked up the victim and his girlfriend near the 600 Block of Wisconsin Avenue and drove them to the area of Polk Street and Audrey Court.
Police say the male victim and his girlfriend were robbed and the man was beaten, sustaining “substantial injuries.” The suspects fled the scene prior to police being notified. An investigation is underway.
