SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) – The officer involved in a fatal shooting July 2 in Sheboygan has been identified.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice confirms Bryan Pray, who has two and a half years of service with the Sheboygan Police Department, was the officer involved in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Kevin Ruffin Jr.
Pray has been placed on administrative leave, per department policy.
The DOJ’s Division of Criminal Investigation is leading an investigation.
The DOJ says it will turn over investigation reports to the Sheboygan County District Attorney when the investigation concludes.
